It may not be as good a metroidvania as Hollow Knight tho, but the bosses are an absolute JOY compared to the miserable damage sponges I had to deal with in Silksong. Being able to kill one taking zero damage feels DOABLE

The level design is also... not particularly good (I got stuck for hours because a boss I needed to progress the story was tucked in an area that felt optional). It didn't need to be a metroidvania, really

Playing Nine Sols and liking it so far, thought a part of me almost wishes it was a boss rush game like Furi. The parry-focused combat system is exhilarating when you parry attacks from a boss twice as big as you, but is way less fun when you're in a corridor fighting multiple small enemies at once
