This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

Danish physicist Lene Hau slowed light to 38 mph in 1999 using ultracold sodium atoms & electromagnetically induced transparency. A second "coupling" laser made the atom cloud transparent; light's energy transferred into the atoms' quantum state, dragging its speed down without breaking relativity.
