The Breac Maodhóg This c.11th century reliquary features bronze plaques with wonderfully detailed figures of men and women, likely to represent saints or clerics. You can see it in the National Museum of Ireland, on display next to its leather satchel. I love the slightly fed up looking figure!
The Breac Maodhóg, a house shaped reliquary comprised of large bronze sheets with detailed depictions of men and women.A decorated leather satchelA small bronze figure of a cleric on the Breac Maodhóg, he has a pretty flamboyant hairdo (with a centre parting like a prime Steve Macmanaman). He rests his hand on his face like he has just heard what civilisation is like in 2026.
