The main reason you haven’t heard about campus sexual violence in a few years is because Trump and SCOTUS have made it much, much harder for survivors to come forward. You might vaguely remember that Title IX was a big battleground in his first term. And that we lost.

(There’s a separate thread to write about why Biden’s Title IX regulation was also very bad. It was written by schools, not survivors, so it actually expanded perpetrator impunity and increased surveillance of survivors. We’re honestly better off without it—even though we’re still in a bad place.)
