Episode 9 of Journal with Witch/Ikoku Nikki is shown in a beautiful non-linear manner. I love how Asa wondered about her future, and then it ended with Makio waving goodbye as she goes to school, as her own past self wonders what the future will hold.

I’m experiencing media that I wasn’t able to at the time as well as reengaging with certain ones to recontextualize my understanding of them now that I’m older. Xena, Buffy, Kingdom Hearts, and certain Final Fantasy games for the former. BoJack, Final Fantasy XIII, etc. for the latter.

It’s getting more intense. My OCs are pulled through the interdimensional rift, have amnesia for most of the time of the game/universe that they’re in, and then go to their next adventure elsewhere. Meanwhile, seconds pass in Eorzea. I love this. I get to keep my OCs and experience each game story.

I’m playing Final Fantasy VII and the sector 7 plate just dropped. Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are gone. I’m on the verge of tears. I know that my FF multiverse fanfic with my OC will help, but I’m just so devastated.

I love to spend time with friends, but I am increasingly aware of my small social battery. The need to be alone and in my own place just overtakes me. Journal with Witch/Ikoku Nikki’s “Why am I so bad at being connected to the world?” just pierces my soul. I feel bad about being this way.

Final Fantasy XIII’s “Dust to Dust” makes my heart ache. The lyrics and song title truly convey how Fang and Vanille can never go back to their old life.

I guess it's not enough for me to just have my FFXIV OCs. I just crafted an entire reason for how they exist within the FF multiverse and due to time/space being weird, reincarnate in another universe after death. This takes the FFXIV cosmology into account, as well as FFXI, FFXIII 1-3, etc.

When I started Judith Butler's "Gender Trouble," I wrote in the book with pen, outlined sections, and literally used a dictionary every few words. I'm still about 20 pages in. Was it dense? Yes. Was it rewarding? Yes. Don't use AI, just read the book, and learn something!

Makio's tearful breakdown led to her writing that poem for Asa where she said that she would always be there for her and that she only wished for Asa to keep in touch. This, coupled with Reki's comments about fleeting moments being precious, really healed something within me.

*standing up on the plane* okay firstly, Loki is not Odin's son nor Thor's brother in the Norse myths. Also Laufey is Loki's mother and Farbauti his father, while Hel is his daughter via Angrboda. This is all found in the Eddic poems from the Codex Regius and in Snorri Sturlusson's Prose Edda which

Vonnegut always makes my mind drift to this quote: "Trout, incidentally, had written a book about a money tree. It had twenty-dollar bills for leaves. Its flowers were government bonds...it attracted human beings who killed each other around the roots and made very good fertilizer. So it goes."

I finished Haibane Renmei. The show made me cry a lot. In the last two episodes, it felt like I'd been punched in the gut, and on top of that, could only breathe in short bursts. It's a tender show that encapsulates grief and impermanence. I love Reki just like Ikoku Nikki's Makio. Life-changing.

Here is my character in Final Fantasy XIV. She is near and dear to my heart. She's gone from a conjurer to a reaper and has red eyes and purple highlights indicative of her possession with her half-voidsent reflection. It's a bit creative with the lore, but oh well, I love both of them so much.

This is a screenshot of Final Fantasy XIV. A female Keeper of the Moon with dark strawberry blonde hair sits in front of a river at sunset within the Black Shroud. Blue sprites hover over the river in the background. The miqo'te wears a burnt orange badana, a brown striped shirt, a brown skirt with flowers, a worn choker, and has a worn staff on her back.

This is a screenshot of Final Fantasy XIV. A female Keeper of the Moon with dark strawberry blonde hair and purple highlights stands in front of a river at night within Gridania. In contrast to the first image in which she has brown eyes, in this one, she has red eyes. She wears a flowing pink coat with diamond patterns over a white shirt and a pair of pale blue ripped jeans. her arms are outstretched while her face is filled with joy. She also wears a worn choker, and unlike the first image, now has a worn scythe on her back.

Writing OC fanfiction helps me process my feelings. While previous fandoms addressed things like writing a story without toxic people around or processing past moments, my FFXIV work has felt particularly tender, especially as it relates to my day-to-day thoughts as well as the future.
