My favorite part about Moore's handling of Nazis as villains in Tom Strong is that he didn't just stop at punching them (even though there was a lot of glorious punching involved). There was also a conscious effort made into dismantling and debunking the Nazi ideology.

Maybe the funniest addition I can make here is despite the hate, Moore isn't even fully done with comic books. The Moon And Serpent Bumper Book might be more of a nonfiction piece but it's chock-full of graphic storytelling. Just goes to show Moore's always seen comics as more than just cape junk.

Moore gets a lot of unnecessary hate for Watchmen, and it is completely from loud online (a) nerds unwilling to examine the superhero archetype they like and try to write it off as "old man yelling at clouds" and (b) people made at Group A for idolizing the characters and blaming Moore somehow.

Loving Control Resonant so far an, unsurprising, it's my game of the year lol but my one complaint has to be that the combat doesn't feels as snappy/connective as I would've liked. I like a good hack n slash, but I find myself really just juggling one opponent in a corner, mashing, then moving on.

I like listening to NPR Up First to get quick looks at what's going on each morning before branching out to other news outlets like Al Jazeera or PBS, but gotta be super critical of NPR here, hate them doing an interview with Tucker Carlson. Good reminder NEVER rely on just one news outlet.

Some New Dog Owner Advice that I'm learning from personal experience: Don't set your heart on goals or expectations of the relationship you will have with your dog. It's only been a week, but there's a clear favorite our puppy has between my girlfriend and me and my heart really is going through it.

the thing about funding a kickstarter, is i think for a lot of creators (definitely for me) the funding goal is the amount i'm willing to LOSE, essentially to have money to rollover into the next project is a very different number, so while it's amazing to fund, the promo must go on ...
