james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country "...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."

Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us.

So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.

Agreed! I’ll go a step further: based on what I’ve read about how the room operates and the presentation of the data they use, I think they also do themselves and the *process* a disservice. They apparently don’t consider the value (or lack thereof) of half or more of the game results.

How often has each contender* played like the "best" team in the country (as measured by count of 95th percentile opp-adjusted FEI game ratings)? 6 - Ohio St 4 - Alabama, Texas 3 - Georgia, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina *some of these teams are probably not getting into the playoff

a feed is a thing you subscribe to for the posts, while a list is a list of users (kind of like a starter pack without the follow-all button) you can subscribe to feeds ("pin it to home") and then the main "following" algo will bring in posts from other feeds as well

an example of the nflverse feed popping up in the following tab, prefixed with "from #nflverse feed"
