Yes, we lost a lot. My career path was shot in the foot and hasn’t fully recovered since. I grieve the life I could have had every day. But I don’t lash out at the protective actions we tried to take not to make things worse, because I’m an adult.

A huge example of an entire society experiencing grief but some being stuck in the denial/anger/bargaining stage. Most if not all of us lost the life we should have had because of COVID-19, but we wouldn’t have magically had that life by ignoring that COVID-19 was happening at all.
