Beethoven’s birthday: Wednesday (tomorrow) Or today. He was baptised on the 17th. It was the custom then to baptise infants within 24 hours, so he might have been born on December 16.
Peanuts by Schulz

Lucy leans against Schroeder's piano
"If December twelfth is here, can Beethoven's birthday be far away?"
"Guess what... Beethoven's birthday is this week, isn't it? Well, I'm going to bake a cake ad have everyone over! How about that?"
Snoopy comes to sit beside Schroeder.
"I think such an effort on my part deserves a reward, don't you? Like maybe a little kiss..."
Schroeder walks away...
"I mean, after all, someone like yourself who admires Beethoven so much should be willing to reward a person who works hard to..."
Snoopy & Lucy kiss: "Smack"
Lucy: "AAUGH! I'VE BEEN KISSED BY A DOG!!"
"I've been poisoned! Get some iodine! Get some hot water! Germs! Germs! Germs!"
Schroeder & Snoopy watch as Lucy runs off.
Schroeder shakes Snoopy's hand:
"Happy Beethoven's birthday... Thursday."

Monday night there was massive migration; Tues there were warblers dripping from the trees everywhere, including at our little pond, where I counted multiple individuals of 14 different species. Here's 4 - Blackburnian, Bay-breasted, Northern Parula, and Cape May #birds #warblers #migration #HamOnt
A blackburnian warbler in profile view on a bare branch, looking left, with a blue sky for background. He has a flaming orange coloured throat; his face is also bright orange with black patches. A bay-breasted warbler in profile view looking to the right, on a horizontal branch, with blurred out budding trees behind him. His back and wings are grayish with two bright white wingbars, while his flanks and throat are "bay-coloured", a bold cinnamon. His face is black.A northern parula high in a bare tree with pale blue sky behind. He's in profile view looking to the right. His back, head, and wings are a soft bluish gray, with white wingbars. His throat is yellow, while his chest goes from orange to yellow and then white on his lower bellyA cape may warbler sitting upright, with its head turned to the right, on branches with leaves budding out and a soft blue sky backdrop. He's yellow, with long streaks of black on his breast, mostly on the flanks, and an orange patch on his face

This fabulous little bird is a Long-tailed Silky Flycatcher. Despite the name, they mostly eat berries and forage for insects when they are feeding chicks. They are thought to be related to waxwings and used to be grouped in the same family. 🪶 San Gerardo de Dota, Costa Rica
A bird with a yellow head and crest, gray on the upper body and wing covert and darker gray on the flight feathers and tail, with more yellow on the bellow. It is perched in a tree that has fine, thin green leaves.
