The games fill a niche we don't see anyone else do much of for kid friendly platformers that invest in a story and Sega actually has been good with his cross media promotion. Way better than your typical video game franchise.

See I can be frustrated and have fun at the same time. Onimusha is a perfect example of it, love once everything clicks and I'm able to take out the bosses, it's all worth it.

The funny thing is people saying Wikipedia is a good starting point were right, but missing the forest for the trees. The summary isn't why it's a good starting point. All those sources at the end makes it probably the best starting point on the internet.

I think the only "Classic" platforms that would work today are the DS and Wii. The former because of its unique features are hard to replicate and the latter because casuals who aren't interested in a Switch 2 would buy a Wii for nostalgia. 3DS down the road as well, but that's too soon for now

Also the software was really lacking. Way too much of it was available on PC/Meta or felt like a tech demo (Horizon Call of the Mountain). GT7 was pulling a lot of weight. And I'm still baffled they never got a port of Half-Life Alyx on it.

Not surprised Sony's ending their VR. Between AAA single player games, live service games, and VR games, their studios were stretched too thin. One of them had to go and it was clear they were more committed to the first two over VR. Not saying they should have been committed to live service games

I can't say I agree with that. PSVR1 was always advertised as a very budget option for PS4 owners, there's nothing wrong with giving a more premium option seven years later. The PSVR2 mistakes were not giving PC support day one (huge for mass adoption) and not giving PSVR1 BC.

Dial Z for Zombies- One of the best in the series no question. It knows to keep things simple to set up as many jokes and gags as possible. The amount they get in seven minutes is honestly insane. Homer is MVP here. If you don’t laugh at “He was a zombie?” or Homer in the school, you have no soul.

King Homer- Another great parody. Mr. Burns once again is so perfect for ToH, Homer’s design as Kong is fantastic, and the jokes all land. Smithers saying “I think women and sea men don’t mix,” is one of the best lines in the series.

(ToH 3) Clown Without Pity- A near perfect parody. It’s a fun way to get Krusty to try to kill Homer, the jokes mostly land, and the solution is so stupid that it actually works. Only problem is I could do without that Whoopi Goldberg joke

Even then, 5th gen consoles took years to actually catch on. The Amiga CD32, 3DO, and Jaguar were all more powerful than the SNES and Genesis, but failed to catch on before the PlayStation finally received a game library that convinced people to move on.

I bought a PS5 Pro at launch. It was a stupid amount of money that I justified thanks to some Patreon money and the desire to give my base PS5 to my FFXIV friend that I duo with. 900 bucks is a stupider amount of money, and 1400 is RIGHT OUT. Base PS5 will do you fine.

I don't think that would work for a Zelda remake. It works for Final Fantasy because they go all in on the anthology for sequels. They remake Ocarina of Time to that extent and they need to keep it tied to OoT's story/world/themes. Better off just making a brand new Zelda.

It feels like Nintendo is setting people's expectations so they know this isn't going to be as drastic as FFVIIR and REmakes. Those are basically new games built around old locations/stories. This is adding a lot, but not taking that step.

Nah, that's still a huge step up from RDR2. PS4/XB1 versions came on two discs (which were capped at 50 GB) and I believe PC is 150 GB.

Dead Ringer- Finally a good one. The Ring is a good parody. Making it a TikTok video rather than a cassette is a perfect modernization and the jokes land well. Best of 32 no question (though the bedtime story between was good too).
