Once again, I feel like I need to run some basic etiquette lessons for existing in public in a city/on the subway. The person going OUT the door goes first. Then the person going in. Hold doors for old people, people with strollers, kids. Try to look up from phone when doing so. Thank you.

I grew up watching space movies and shows in black and white and with awful production values. It never occurred to me to mock special effects in "Deep Impact," but I threw things at the TV every time "Armageddon" had some BS like this and impossibly perfectly timed stupid flyover scenes and shit.

I turned it into a trip across town and back. The Casey Kasem countdown that was on was filled with songs I used to sing into my girlfriend's ear during school dances. Nothing cringy about that! A gentleman who lives here helped me up the stairs and through the locked door with my things. So nice.

I knew what sport it was. But I had no context for a team rushing the field after merely tying the score. That’s when I knew that the way I tried to live-blog was cheating me of so much of the experience of baseball. It was a day game. No deadline pressure other than trying to refresh the blog.
