I've heard a lot about "Got Five" (Yoann Levet, Blue Orange) and got the chance to play it during a recent game day. This is on my shortlist to pick up. Accessible logic experience in a relatively small box and a play time that allows players to pick up another round immediately afterwards.

We defeated Hastur today in Cthulhu: Death May Die (CMON , @robdaviau.bsky.social, @ericlang.bsky.social) . While I'm not much into games with minis these days, the cooperative gameplay was thrilling and surprisingly approachable given the packaging. Looking forward to more time with this.

Kano (Pablo Jimenez,Angel Pintero, Matagot) is a gorgeous tile placement game, with an innovative paint pot placement mechanic to get those tiles that gets very tricky very fast. It rewards players who cleverly set themselves up for big, efficient turns. Looking forward to more plays soon.

I haven't seen a lot of love for Jisogi (Good Games Publishing, Rodrigo Esper), but I loved my initial play of it. A super tight economy with specialized workers leads to that good kind of frustration. Given the theme, the artwork also did not disappoint.

I won’t be going to any conventions in Texas or Florida. I’ve gotten harassed in areas that are supposedly “safe”—why would I take a risk? My life isn’t worth the fear or discomfort I’d feel for the week, plus the recovery period. Avoid those spaces in solidarity with your trans friends.

While there is still plenty of room for (sic) in the industry, designers note that things have improved in the past years as content creators and fans have asked for more accessible options. Content creators like (Laura Kate) Dale, Brian Chandler (Colorblind Games), and Arwen Kathke (Cardboard Time) were all noted by designers as major contributors to the positive changes within the industry.
