In my vision at the time, i did imagine players controlling more than one character, but i had no concept of what games were doing that back in 2012 or whenever this happened.

But I was fascinated with the idea of trying to adapt like, the job system and the tactics. I also love how the map fills out in Tactics Advance. The blog i was talking with thought it'd work better as a self contained board game than trying to do a full fledge ttrpgs.

Like 10 or more years ago on tumblr i had a big long conversation with a ttrpg blog (CorruptionPoints was the name i think), about adapting Final Fantasy Tactics. At the time, my frame of reference was just 4e, pathfinder, and FATE really.

💯💯💯 I bought JWE 2 after playing like 100 hours of Planet Zoo and was left wanting. Planet Zoo is such a blast to play, and feels so rewarding to zoom in and watch the simulation play out.

The short of the mechanic: There is a deck of cards that does lots of different things. There are six suits. The deck starts the same in every box with equal spread of suits, but when you end the game there are rules for adding and removing cards to and from the deck, changing future games.
