It's kinda wild that before, I could only fill one of these trays with minis when I moved 2 years ago. And now I have two cases to fit them all, and even then it's only just. Behold, my entire Battletech collection (plus a few extra minis)

Wow, totally correct. I also like how the advantage is supposedly speed of play, but then the video shows them building a map for what feels like a half hour. I'm sure they are really cool, but I actually like the maps.

Iirc, 1 engine crit from that and then took a hit in the back that got through and caused 2 more engine hits to take him out. Only got to use the claws once.

That's what I found strange in my Alpha Strike campaign. Mechs that were good in Classic were average in AS, and some bad mechs were pretty good.

Like many who entered the gaming hobby in the 70s, I’ve played my fair share of chit-and-map wargames. FASA’s BattleTech: The Succession Wars (1987) combined the groovy sci-fi mecha setting with classic strategic wargame gameplay. It was a fun “Big Picture” way to enjoy BattleTech! #dailynerdfix

We played a mission from the #Battletech Core Rulebook. It was a huge game, 5 players, IS vs Clans. Mission: Objective Raid. The Clans didn't need to go looking for trouble, the Sphereoids came a knockin'. In the end, the Clans won, by a single point, but it was CLOSE @battletech.bsky.social

Hmmm, sadly tokens might be the best way to go for the biplanes. I guess it's no worse than the tokens I use for footsoldiers in BT. Do the planes move on the battlefield, or are they more like a weapon you track?

Sweet, the biplanes sold me on the whole game, lol. I'll probably pick it up after the BT Core Box. I owned Dawn Patrol as a wee little Captain, and every time I see a game with biplanes I get nostalgic. (Also, a biplane and triplane in my home town did mock battles every weekend in the summer.)

@koldunya.space Do individual heroes or crewmen play a part in Leviathans mechanics? DrivethruRPG doesn't seem to have the Core book yet, though they have a confusing number of other Leviathan books. I'm thinking this game would be good to add to my favorites of BT, Federation Commander, & Gaslands
