Welp, these are concurrent player numbers I never thought I'd see next to a game I worked on. I thought it was bonkers when we hit 40K last time.

Day 1 of my action-packed high-octane Develop coverage. Ate some granola. Immersed myself in a tub of sunscreen. Procured table on terrace. All set for the day.

As I sit here nursing the remaining half of this cider, hot and quite knackered, I ponder the choices I made earlier in the year which all but comitted me to turning up.

Best Time/Format for Old Game Streaming

With nothing off the table in terms of my (Pat_Bren's) content, it would be very help to know what format/time would best suit any live streams or videos of games (PS1/2 most likely) which I create. (...

Welp, it's that time of year where I regret having committed myself to travelling down to Brighton again, this year exacerbated by being too hot and too tired. Will enjoy myself when I'm there, no doubt. But bloody hell, weather.

Dear Americans. Not for the first time, I have encountered one of you call what is clearly a goose, a duck. Do you just call all semi-aquatic birds ducks? If so, are swans ducks? Or is this phenomenon specific to geese? Is this like when I found out you call all shapes of pasta and noodles, noodles?

Today I planted an oak tree sapling in my side garden. Is my side garden large enough to accomodate an oak tree? Lol no. But this is a problem for someone in about 60 years, not me :D

IT'S ALIVE! I had thought this plant dead within weeks of planting it, to the extent I stopped bothering to deweed around it. Over a year later and it's pushed a couple of leaves out :)

My daughter's class had homework on Plato's Cave. Parents in the WhatsApp group were panicking it seemed too hard. I said just hand something in and tell the teacher she's only seeing the shadow of the *real* homework. Got nothing. No laughing emojis, no HAHAHA. I'm fucking wasted on these people.

Here is my amazingly in-depth VTM:Bloodlines 2 initial review after 6 hours. Kindof into the story, I guess? Interested to see how that develops. Kind of hate the combat, think the game would be better as a straight narrative experience.

I do not wish to "reclaim" the Union Flag or St George Cross. I was quite happy with the situation of us being a nation of non flag wavers. The Union Flag is for the roofs of Minis, tea towels, and tourist tat and the St George's Cross for sporting events. Other use cases are cringey (see: America)

I did not think through the implication of this phone's name when I bought it.

My A55 phone looks like it says "Andy's Ass" when plugged into my PC. This is far from ideal.

I firmly believe that one of the greatest innovations of the 21st Century is properly delicious-smelling washing up liquid. As a kid, I thought the future would be hoverboards and jetpacks. As a middle-aged man I am delighted to discover it's apple and rhubarb flavour Fairy liquid.

One year it'd be lovely to ease gently from one season to the next rather than chaotically swing from 'need the heating on' to 'open every window in the house and spend no more than 5 minutes outside'
