Order-Sol is literally on the sleeve art, how you gonna just not include his theme?

No "Keep In Gates," no "Keep the Flag Flying," no "Holy Orders?" or "Get Down to Business." They better do a separate Accent Core vinyl or I'm going to be very cross.

i don't know what happens in the movie digger but i assume that he's sort of an ernest or madea style character and we'll get to see the series continue with titles like "digger saves halloween" or "digger down under" or whatever

i bet it would be fun to run one of those youtube channels that tries to squeeze regular animal crossing news from a stone but for something that's not even popular like Bug! for sega saturn. i feel like doing Bug! clickbait for no one would be a good mental exercise like writing essays in school

there are probably zero actual cinematic platformers (prince of persia, flashback, etc.) where your character can jump straight up and somehow die of fall damage upon landing, but emotionally, this is true for all of them

"The World Is to Dig" came out in April and I'm still chewing on it. I don't know if it's that the album is just challenging or that I haven't been at full capacity even once this year, but I don't feel like I've got a handle on it yet.

The mysterious caller states that they no longer trust the Foundation, but they believe they can trust Miranda. Miranda is uncomfortable that this person knows her full name and figures that they might be trying to blackmail her. She asks them to call back in a few hours, as she needs time to think.
She pulls into an alleyway full of trash and leaves the Nesscycle parked out of sight.

Miranda un-transforms and hides the Crypt-iD Gear under her shirt. She walks through the rain to a sandwich bar called The Dukes, and finds it empty. As she's about to ascend the stairs, a voice calls out: "There you are, 'randa! Where've you been?"
Miranda is startled.

I've had friends who I love & cherish bounce the whole "there's no ethical consumption" line off me like a rubber ball and I think it's become one of those phrases like "a few bad apples" where the real meaning is lost and people just say it, and I think the way it's used is nihilism in a big coat.

I'll be honest: I did not expect "The History of Charging the Mound" to cover similar thematic territory to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

It's not a happy notion, but it is a very relatable one. One that only becomes more profoundly resonant as I watch more and more of the world make what I know is "the wrong decision." But you can't stop the world any more than you can stop Nier from rescuing his daughter.

Booker @capnbooker.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Lately, I've very much felt like a spectator in the world. In my 20s, I think I naively believed that if I understood the world's problems, it would help me solve them. And that's simply not how it works. I think that's what Route C is about. It's the recognition that you can't "solve" humanity.

100

Booker @capnbooker.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

The theme of Route C, I felt, was that it doesn't matter if you know the truth. You can have all the additional knowledge Route B grants you, but it won't change the outcome. Because these conflicts aren't about right and wrong. They're about perspective. It changes you from player to spectator.

100

Booker @capnbooker.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I've been thinking a lot about Route C of Nier Gestalt lately. When I finally finished the game, it was the one that left the biggest impact, even though strictly speaking very little changes from Route B. I liked that, because, to me, it felt like it was about inevitability.

Someone should make a Sonic fangame that opens with a recreation of City Escape, but you're scripted to be run over by the GUN Truck, and then Sonic wakes up in a JRPG.

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is.

Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.

Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.

an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

Team Ninja should make an Ultima prequel that's an action game where you play as Mondain, and his only personality trait is that he wants to kill Lord British. And it shouldn't have a loot system.

Finding out that the plot of the original Final Fantasy (collect crystals, use anachronistic technology, travel back in time to fight an evil wizard) is exactly, beat-for-beat, the same plot as the first Ultima feels a little bit like when I watched Twin Peaks years after playing Deadly Premonition.
