People associate the song with Shrek due to its iconic use in that film’s opening, but it’s a shame so few credit its origin in Mystery Men (1999), a flawed film that nonetheless showed off William H Macy’s comic talents and offered a much needed (if fruitless) comeback opportunity for Paul Reubens.
