In less than a week, the #ElsPorts mountain range near Tortosa, on the west side of the large river Ebre (Catalonia), has endured two extreme events: a 3,300 ha #wildfire, followed by #torrential rainfall (100 mm/day) in the #riucanaletes watershed... All of this is visible from space.

The publisher of my recently accepted paper announces a minimum of 10 weeks to produce the proofs from the final revised version I had sent. With the current rules of the game (unfortunately), every publication and citation matters to secure a permanent position, it is hard to wait and stay quiet.

And it keeps on rising! Last time Sau was at current level (68% capacity, not counting sediment accumulation) was in August 2021. After 3 years of verly low water levels and a huge #watercrisis, the main reservoirs in Northeast Iberian Peninsula are finally filling up.
Time series of water volume stored in Sau reservoir (North-East Iberian Peninsula). Recent estimates show a massive increase in water stock after 3 years of extremely low levels.
