Of course, it's STOTEN. Baffles me why it's still such a popular choice for the peatland community.

Review comment: "The cited references are nearly a decade old". Shock horror! I find the obsession with citing recent work really weird for science that hasn't changed (i.e. is still relevant). Also, 10yrs = really not very old.

It is 40 years since the journal Hydrological Processes started. The editors have a top 40@40 here, and Im delighted that Baker & Inverarity (2004), on fluorescence and water quality, has made the list: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1...

Our new mesocosm paper about the effects of rewetting lowland agricultural peat on water quality. A huge amount of effort went into making this project happen so thrilled to see it out in the wild.

Although a popular trope, I am obliged to point out that peatlands generally don't act as sponges. Read our paper here to find out why: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

This, in a new paper, is wrong. You can't collate data from different waterbodies/different studies + claim it shows emissions increase over time. It simply shows that different researchers have measured different systems that have different emissions. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
