Are we the coolest gang of astronomers in the Dinosaur Provincial Park badlands tonight? Yes. Yes, we are. #astronomy #outreach
A group of astronomers with their telescopes are ready for tonight’s outreach event in concert (literally) with a string trio in the normally closed part of the badlands in Dinosaur Provincial Park.

I want wetlands that protect communities from floods instead of being paved over. I want whales in healthy oceans, old-growth trees that outlive us, and night skies where the stars are brighter than the city lights.

Your headline should be corrected! Same article: Disease is readily treatable; Root cause is climate change (humans).Yet you incite panic about it and towards animals who may end up harmed as a result! Instructions are more balanced but BURIED - most won't read that far. @worldanimalprotection.us

What some call "unused land" is often the last safe haven for countless living creatures. Wetlands are not empty spaces waiting to be developed. They are nurseries for birds, natural water filters, flood defenses, and wildlife habitats that cannot be replaced once lost.

Why is a 2" gap max on anti-collision markings so important? (Or 4" max for parachords?) Because birds are maneuverable, incredibly fast and "shrink" to fly rapidly through narrow passages like between branches. Only, that space between the hawk stickers isn't space. It's glass. And it kills.
