I guess the use of AI in media will lead to a strong increase of made up quotes by experts. I never spoke to Just the News (and definitely wouldn‘t) but I said something strikingly similar to @jonhenley.bsky.social for the Guardian. AI-based plagiarism adding a lie for credibility.

Uri Tupka and The Gods by Mike Mignola. I was slightly lukewarm on Bowling With Corpses on a first read, but revisiting that before reading this was a delightful experience. I love weird folk tales and am a sucker for everything Mignola draws, so this was like a warm bath
A truly beautiful cover to the book, full of things with too many eyes, beautiful shading and a nice bushy beard.

Back when I saw THE NORTHMAN, something that stuck with me was how much the final minutes of that movie succeeded at dehumanizing a man into a prowling beast through framing and body language. This comic has a panel that makes me feel exactly like that with just a single, haunting-ass image.

a break from my Read Around The World challenge to read Godhusk by Plastiboo. This book is so extremely my shit. Plastiboo is so good at not only evoking the feeling of playing an obscure horror game, but also interrogating this extremely niche format: ephemera about nonexistent media.
