Nancy’s at school…. Her teacher asks her a math problem: if Nancy had three cupcakes, and Sluggo asked her for one, how many would she have left? Nancy’s reply is “three.”

Everyone should watch PENDA'S FEN, it's incredible. A very Moore-ish (aired when Moore was a teen) work of art as sigil to break the thought prisons of infernal modernity. It feels, to me, enormously powerful, moving, magical. 720p rip here, with generated subs only unfortunately:

Back when I saw THE NORTHMAN, something that stuck with me was how much the final minutes of that movie succeeded at dehumanizing a man into a prowling beast through framing and body language. This comic has a panel that makes me feel exactly like that with just a single, haunting-ass image.

a break from my Read Around The World challenge to read Godhusk by Plastiboo. This book is so extremely my shit. Plastiboo is so good at not only evoking the feeling of playing an obscure horror game, but also interrogating this extremely niche format: ephemera about nonexistent media.
cover of Godhusk by Plastiboo. an ornate alien creature made from rounded, organic armous shapes connected with hoses, pipes, wiring and archaic amber lit screens, against a grimy backdrop. made ot look like the walkthrough guide to a dated video game.

2026 comics reading thread, as I will otherwise forget! Such a strong start with Ex. Mag vol 6, focussed on space exploration. I love this book! Highlights includes work from Lando, Hannah K and Linnea Sterte but the whole thing is amazing. @peow.bsky.social forever!
It’s a gorgeous page from Linnea Sterte and Gareth Damian Martin’s comic. Isolation and grandeur hooray Lando is doing landscapes and gross creatures better than anyone!A page from Hannah K’s moving and funny story. Such a good cartoonist, amazing expression and humour and melancholy all round.

the Black Panthers were right
IF YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED IT'S NOT BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY WORK
JUST LOOK AROUND: A HOUSING SHORTAGE, CRIME, POLLUTION; WE NEED BETTER SCHOOLS AND PARKS.
WHATEVER OUR NEEDS, THEY ALL REQUIRE WORK.
AND AS LONG AS WE HAVE UNSATISFIED NEEDS, THERE'S WORK TO BE DONE.
SO ASK YOURSELE, WHAT KIND OF WORLD HAS WORK BUT NO JOBS. IT'S A WORLD WHERE WORK IS NOT RELATED TO SATISFYING OUR NEEDS, WORLD WHERE WORK IS ONLY RELATED TO SATISFYING THE PROFIT NEEDS OF BUSINESS.
THIS COUNTRY WAS NOT BUILT BY THE HUGE CORPORATIONS OR GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACIES.
IT WAS BUILT BY PEOPLE WHO WORK. AND, IT IS WORKING PEOPLE WHO SHOULD CONTROL THE WORK TO BE DONE. YET, AS LONG AS EMPLOYMENT IS TIED TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S PROFITS, THE WORK WONT GET DONE.
