Awww I’m so sorry…sometimes I think that’s worse than their actual passing…I have five felines’ ashes in sleeping cat boxes next to my bed - each w/a name plate and I still pat them all and say good night to them…I like to think they still look after me and the other furballs…it’s comforting…🙂

This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

I’m a few years off retirement - frantically trying to buy a flat in Galway City to have a roof over my head - petrified of gettn evicted from my 15 year rental as have 3 rescue felines for years and I’m told that as a single person I’m only entitled to a studio or 1 bed as I don’t need much space -

I’m a song researcher and have done an analysis of representations of historical figures in songs as heroes - the song annoys me a lot because it’s basically Plunkett lionising himself as a hero - Grace is merely an afterthought - which is even more annoying given her background before she met him.

So happy to hear someone else does pickling - a mate of mine recently gifted me the attached gigantic courgette so I sliced it w red onions, dill, coriander, pink peppercorns and garlic - covered it w/hot apple cider vinegar w a biteen of siúcra and popped it in fridge…so good!
