St Luke's Church in #Cork is quite the venue for live music. Tallest Man on Earth coming on soon and we couldn't be more excited.

There are some great lines in this sweet tale "I was just glad he wasn’t the other lad standing there with the Peaky Blinders haircut and matching tracksuit."

Heartbroken with the news of this legend Glen Hansard passing away too young. The first time I saw him was in the #Cork institution the lobby bar and I was hooked ever since. So many gigs in so many cities. May he rest in peace

Check out this chunky bumble bee. The rich orange color of the butt doesn't really show in the video. I was glad to guide it out the window ASAP. I haven't seen one with this size and colour before in #Cork

It might take a hundred years of additional model training for AI to get their facts and figures aligned

I found a new use for AI. I was in a hotel last night trying to watch a world cup game and the colour balance on the tv was terrible. I can never navigate the help menus or remotes (too many buttons) so I just took a photo of it and asked Gemini what button to press. Very quick fix.

The #Cork Choral festival is this weekend. I got a sneak preview in a free show at a local library by a choir visiting from France.

The bus from Dublin to Cork, that has to avoid the motorway, is very retro and much more scenic. I've added a few villages to my list of places to visit for a Sunday lunch but that'll have to wait

You know it's a sunny day in Cork when there's a queue for a 99 in the local shop. #speirgorm

How it started, how it finished ... 1.50 a pop at B&Q and my middle-aged ears are much happier

Cork v Galway ... Great scoring to bring Cork back to within 1 by half time. Plenty of yellow cards flying. More great hurling to come in the second half. Lively finish to the half.

Last time I saw @glenhansard.bsky.social was at an Interference gig in Connolly's of Leap. Tonight he opened his set at the Albert Hall with their wonderful song Something Right. A great tribute at this year's @streetsoflondon.bsky.social fundraiser gig.

Nothing better than sneaking off to Fitzgerald's Park to balm out on a sunny afternoon and finding great live music from members of the Cork Academy of Music. #speirgorm

Great view of the Reeks from the RDI Hub in Kerry yesterday. There was a massive temptation to step away for a few hours of walking in that glorious sunshine. I managed to grab an hour and got in as far as Lough Callee before returning to Cork. #Kingdom #Kerry #speirghorm

The pitch at the Connacht GAA centre of excellence is not doing the players any favours today. It looks like a herd of elephants were grazing there before the game. Two points in it after 18 minutes. UL ahead of DCU. #FITZGIBBONcup #dcu #ul #connacht #spéirghorm

www.youtube.com/live/_wiHB31... Closely fought game so far with only a point between the teams after 18 minutes but MTU have just had two players sent off. Numbers 14 and 8 - both for heavy shoulders to the heads of opponents. UL ahead by one.

"An bhfuil cead agam dul go dtí an ...." Ta fhios ag gach duine cad é an gcéad fhocal eile. Not that we say this very often outside of school. But anyway - with the DCU-NLP/bert-base-irish-cased-v1 model on Hugging Face the word "leithreas" is only number 25 in terms of most likely next work.
