This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

The opening paragraph of Ed Sheeran's new statement is a great example of spineless both-sideism that will only annoy people even more
"I am appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The suffering and pain caused on both sides is a human tragedy. There are too many wars across the world causing immeasurable pain, none of which should be tolerated"

yes, being 'neutral' is a political action and in the face of genocide standing back and refusing to acknowledge it - and call it out - is not 'apolitical' but siding with the power inflicting it. The notion art or music is 'above' or outside politics is self- delusion

This is just complete misdirection from the Govt, they are focusing on a problem that doesn't exist to try to get us all to look away from the myriad of real problems that the country has, for a start a #housing EMERGENCY, it would make you rage, also they underestimate our intelligence #SpéirGorm

Just pure gutter racism dressed up in a suit. Appalling stuff. And I wish I believed the media would put on their grown up pants and deal with this properly but I suspect they'll soft-soap and both-sides it into reality.

Through a sheer stroke of luck, I managed to buy alone at 45 this year. The last seat on the lifeboat, because since then, not a single other suitable house in my area has been listed within my budget. I was so fortunate, but not everyone is. My demographic is completely unacknowledged.

Single adults and over-45s are among those overlooked in the housing crisis
When will the Government listen and take action?

This summer has made it abundantly clear that we need rewetting across all landscapes, varied habitats, firebreaks and a recalibration of what we use water for, and in ireland, a massive growth and restoration of our degraded ecosystems like bog and wet woodlands that are naturally fire resistant

The Minister for Sport has told us that sport and politics do not mix. But throughout history, we've seen that the opposite is true. The govt have backed the Irish football team and their management into a corner with their inaction and cowardice. There's an obvious solution: stop the game.

The more groups and professions that challenge this, the better. Nothing about these changes has been designed with the needs of children in mind. It's literally to cut waiting lists. They don't care how.
