Abell 39 is a perfect example of how planetary nebulae got their name. The round, bluish-green cloud of glowing gas that is being puffed off the surface of the central dying star has nothing to do with planets, except that if you squint it kind of looks like one. #Seestar S50 🔭🧪, 3.1hrs
