Jed Hoyer is going to have to rethink how he approaches building this team in the offseason. The offense, for as good as it could be, had too many moments where nothing worked. The pitching, again, held them back. Almost none of his acquisitions worked out.

RIP Cubs 2026. PCA season was amazing and I’m grateful, pitching injuries too much to overcome, but also: it continues to burn that this organization with all its resources keeps getting lapped by Milwaukee. This year felt like a step back.

And that's that. For all the highs of this Cubs season, it's hard not to look at it as a disappointment. They didn't even get to actually play in October this time. Injuries were a problem, sure, but it's just felt collectively like a step backward. Hurts. Especially with PCA's season.

Not a bad move to go to Palencia, who really appeared to be locking in towards the end of the season. The Padres are just beating them on every single mistake. The lack of pitching and the home run problem all year is really is making itself known.

FINALLY. After an agonizing couple of days against the Marlins, the Cubs finally squeak out a win and clinch a postseason spot! PCA makes history with 40/40 in the final home game of the season too! It's been a roller coaster. Lot of great moments, a lot of painful, but this team is one to remember

Wow that is an uuuugllly loss for the Cubs tonight. Too many walks from Clay Holmes and some awful at bats at the worst times. Felt like the offense was going to rally at some point, but it was just one missed opportunity after another.

That's a really, really encouraging series win for the Cubs against a damn good Braves squad. Yeah, they didn't face Chris Sale, but they mostly silenced a potent offense when they needed to and got to their kinda shaky rotation. Also helps when Pete Crow-Armstrong keeps playing like a man possessed
