The many faces of Thomas Potato: 1) Sad after dropping the kids off at school 2) Eager to find the kids at pick up 3) One kid found, on the look out for the other

I spent years telling people that kids were not necessary to justify owning an e-cargo bike. I still stand by it. Having said that, if you're on the fence about the purchase and have halfway enabling infrastructure, buy it! The memories you'll make with your children are priceless.

Sometimes I’m jealous of my kids’ childhood… Just hanging out, hugging and petting our puppy in a cargo bike on the way to school on a beautiful fall morning in Minneapolis. 🚲 ❤️ 🐶

The most successful cities of the future will be the ones that invest in public spaces that prioritize the human experience over that of the car's convenience.

If you’re curious to try riding in more seasons beyond summer, I *highly* recommend starting to test rainy rides NOW in the fall (or when temps are still in the 50s/60s) before taking on the barely-above-freezing-rain of early winter/spring.

You do not have to bike in the rain!!! Even if you only replace some car trips - easy routes, nice days - you will drastically improve your wellbeing and lifestyle. But if you want to bike in the rain, it is doable, easy and fun. (And yes - a trike makes it easier!)

When I first started using a bike for transportation I avoided all inclement weather. But over time, I started venturing into riding in the rain (& eventually snow/ice). I slowly figured out what gear keeps me warm & dry (as dry as possible) in what type of rain.
