Most people: I only give a score of 10 to games I consider revolutionary, perfect, or highly influential. Me: This game gets a 10 because the protagonist looks pretty cool. This one gets a 10 because you can ride a skateboard in it. And this one gets a 10 because I ate pizza and I'm in a good mood.

So, for those who played it, what are your first impressions of the Belmont's Curse demo? ] I've seen a lot of people saying "it's a good game, but it doesn't feel like Castlevania," which, to be honest, is what I expected.

It’s so funny, my most anticipated game of the month is the triumphant return of my favorite franchise, developed by one of the best indie studios around... ...while my second one is the Switch 1 port of last year's SpongeBob game. And both are very appropriate for spooky season too.

When I say I love me a good 7/10, I'm talking about games like Gungrave GORE. A mindless, kinda ugly and straight up dumb game at times, but also one that prioritizes being fun and over-the-top above everything else. Not for everyone, but definitely for me. I'm having a blast so far!

Yesterday, I was reminded why I miss something as simple as unlockables in games. I was playing Cruis'n Blast, and after finally collecting the last handful of secret keys, the game was like "good job! Here, have a tank!" It was a cool moment. Made my experience with the game feel special, idk.

Many people point to the "lack of engagement" on Bluesky as a downside, but I’ll always prefer discussing games with just a handful of folks here over posting on the other platform and risking attracting some nutjobs who'll try to explain to me how Sony is on a crusade to make virtual women uglier.

QTP with your best RPG party except it’s different versions of the same character There's five if you count the one on my profile picture. There could be a sixth, but you know, spoilers.

You know what, I think I might not play the demo on Thursday. I’ve waited many years for this game, I can wait a little longer to get the full experience all at once, instead of playing the beginning portion and then having to wait two weeks to continue. Plus, I already know it will be a banger 😌

I wish I was a "one chocolate for now, and one for later" kind of person, but unfortunately I'm more of a "one chocolate for now, and one for immediately after".

so they purposely reduced Tombstones cameo in the movie to sell us DLC that we have to see in theaters rather then on the DVD?

Touch grass or touchpads? The 2015 Steam Controller was maybe the most lovingly crafted hardware failure in video game history. But was it really a failure? Its insane history says otherwise. New episode of Punching Weight! Watch with your pets! RT's appreciated! 💀 youtu.be/xkMuoA88n4M 💀

So, Castlevania turns 40 today. Games are my favorite pastime, and I’m passionate about many franchises, but only Castlevania brings me this unparalleled comfort when I play it. This franchise means a lot to me. These characters, the music, this world... I'm grateful to be able to experience them.

Today marks 40 years since the release of #AkumajoDracula! I was 5 in 1991 when I was first introduced to the game and it created a lifelong love of the series! It’s been a joy growing up with the Belmont’s and I hope to see the fight against Dracula continue for many more years! #Castlevania

Going back and complementing/retconning events of a seven years old movie in order to make it make sense with the new Avengers story they're trying to sell right now. Now the MCU is finally faithful to the comics.

My god, I just started Midnight Fight Express, but now I'm feeling a gigantic urge to replay Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night before Belmont's Curse releases. This is how I feel when I have to make the very difficult decision of choosing between two whole games 🫠

What are 4 video games that you think about replaying the most? I might replay Bloodstained before Belmont's Curse, just to see how they compare to each other 🤔

Brunovania: PS2's Curse 🦇 @brunofortheps2.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

My uncle recommended this game to me called Midnight Fight Express. And dude, it is so, so good. It's an isometric beat 'em up, but also basically a John Wick simulator?? Super challenging, but in a very rewarding way, and the combat is satisfying as hell. 3 hours in and I'm already obsessed.

I don't know much about Fire Emblem (I only played Awakening), but I'll tell you that, this franchise has some sick character designs, especially on the new game. A FE fighting game would go hard. (no, I'm not saying it just because one of them is basically Alucard. But he looks pretty cool tho)

Metroid Zero Mission takes the classic formula of the franchise and offers a wonderful, condensed version of a Samus adventure. For me, it plays most like Super Metroid mini, which is a glowingly positive statement. Definitely worth 4-5 hours. My review: www.talontrotgames.com/metroid-zero...
