51. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock The plan was to play the mainline GH games in order, but I couldn't help myself and skipped to this one. It’s still the best game of its kind, from the presentation, the soundtrack, the strong style, everything. An absolute banger.

To be fair, the one you had is basically the worst one haha but GH6 actually has a very neat "story mode", where you play each character's setlist before awakening their "true form", it's pretty cool. Not to mention the soundtrack is filled with bangers.

Not really. I like to have two GOTY: my favorite game grom this year, and my favorite older game that I played for the first time. But some replays are worth a shout-out. I'm replaying Guitar Hero 6 after more than half a decade, and it has been one of my favorite gaming experiences of the year.

A habit that really helps me procrastinate less, is trying to compare the time it would take me to complete the task I am putting off, against the time it would take to fix the consequences of not doing said task on time. I don't know, I just thought this could be useful to someone else.

Yep. Made the mistake of selling mine alongside my Xbox 360 a handful of years ago. I wouldn't be able to use it on my PS3, but at least I could play Clone Hero with it. Not to mention they're even more rare around here, considering most folks in Brazil used to play with the regular controller.

Update: I found one for Warriors of Rock on the PS3 as well 😭 This is one of my all-time favorite games, but I haven't owned a GH guitar in years, so I had no way to play it until now. Guitar Hero fever is back in my life, baybeeee!

I do prefer the first Scooby Doo, cause it is the quintessential "2000s vibes" movie to me, but the sheer amount of fan service in the sequel makes it just as good for me. And Van Helsing is just awesome, love that one!!

50. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock I couldn't beat One, so I had to call my brother to do it for me (he is left-handed, so hitting the fast green notes on the dualshock is easier for him) Still an absolute banger of a game. Also, Lou is one of the best boss fights in all of gaming.

I tested all of them on an emulator and it seems to work pretty well. I'll see if it works on real hardware as soon as I get home. I'm about to become as obsessed with Guitar Hero as I was back in 2010, I can feel it 🫣

A very specific thing that won't mean anything to most, but everything to me: I found modded versions of all the PS2 Guitar Hero games post-GH3, plus Rock Band 1 and 2, that allow me to play with the PS2 controller instead of the guitar. Feeling like a little child on Christmas morning right now 🥲

Great read! It is really important to take reviews for what they really are: an individual sharing their personal experience. Reviews can be pretty useful if you learn to see them as a simple point of view, instead of a sales pitch. Also, an impeccable closing argument there. Couldn't agree more.

I'm really digging it! It's very chaotic, but in a fun, manageable way, and some of the open world missions are quite challenging, which I see as a good thing. I'm still getting used to the drift, it feels a bit more loose than in most other kart racers, but so far, it's super fun!

Such a cool game!! For the longest time I was craving for a modern 3D brawler like this, the combat is fun as hell!! I haven't managed to win a run yet, but I'm already beating the second boss with relative ease, so I'm getting there!
