Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 9hI've listened to a lot of stuff lately about how the future of "content" (particularly on the internet) is supposed to be personalized. That things should be "liquid" and conform to the reader. I feel like that totally misses the point of most of the things I want to engage with. 000

Someone thought of that painting or melodic line or scene or paragraph that is suddenly making you weep, and that means that they saw you and understood you without even meeting you. 9971221
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 22hTurns out the bulk of this seems to be coming from the End Poem that plays when you beat Minecraft (I’m a fake gamer who’s only ever beat the Ender Dragon in creative mode so I was unfamiliar), but it’s still a bizarre thing to see here jumbled up with the government stuff. 000
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 30/09/2026Confirmed this myself and was met with the depressing information that even in this extremely bizarre land of hallucinated Minecraft I still need to bring two forms of ID, because I am alive. 011
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 29/09/2026If you're way into the story/world of Control Resonant and want more of that in book form, I really enjoyed reading "There Is No Antimemetics Division" earlier this year and think the vibes are on a similar wavelength. 000
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 29/09/2026Go ahead and give Dan, @janochoa.bsky.social and @giantbomb.com a Webby nomination. This is great stuff. 010
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 25/09/2026I get that I should have bought and started installing Control Resonant earlier today instead of waiting until I wanted to play it tonight, but it’s still a bummer that the “Ready to Play” status on PS5 means “You can play for about 10 minutes, then you’ve gotta wait again.” 020

Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 22/09/2026I have a lot of feelings about this and most of them aren't great. I'd love for someone to come rescue Arkane and Ninja Theory, but with the state of the industry as a whole right this second... Man... A lot of books will be written about this specific rise and fall period of Microsoft. 020
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 17/09/2026Narnia means a lot to me, and I have a lot of faith in Greta Gerwig. The "rock opera" touchstone is interesting. but I'll let her cook. (And she's right, Narnia was *literally* [in-fiction] made with singing.) Also, this image of Charn (I assume) looks cool. 🤷♂️ 010

Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 15/09/2026One cool thing about a lot of FPS games in the N64 era (like Turok) was that you could change the blood color. My very strict, very anti-gun mom was ever so slightly more accepting of me playing a game if my enemies at least bled green instead of red, because it was less lifelike. 000

Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 09/09/2026The pitch in this video was that it was inspired by Infinity Blade and Souls-like games, which got my attention. (The striking visuals also helped.) I'm so glad that the Playdate is still going strong. Season 3 is looking interesting. 020
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 09/09/2026My Kirby-loving son is going to lose his mind when he sees this trailer. He gravitates to the open worlds of Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Bananza, so if this is that but Kirby it’s right up his alley. 010
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 08/09/2026A real, no joke thing my 7 year-old said when I showed him the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake trailer: "Wait, can you jump whenever you want? Then that's the game for me." (He has played but not finished the original OoT.) 040
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 08/09/2026It’s been a very long time since I’ve bought any sort of special edition console. Are the Nintendo ones usually more expensive than the standard system? A $20 premium on top of the $50 price hike that just happened this month feels… steep. 120
Britton Peele @brittonpeele.com · 08/09/2026Do I already own these in both hardcover and softcover, one of which was signed by Rand Miller? Yes. Do I also have the more recent Book of Atrus re-release? Yes. Am I still going to get these? [Sigh] Probably. 020
