I saw this sign posted on Tumblr and thought "is that a chainsaw, or is it in fact an extremely hardcore duck?"

Oh no, Stephanie Cole has died. She was wonderful in two of my all-time favourite works of art, Talking Heads and Cabin Pressure. I may have to dig out my Cabin Pressure CD box set, and indeed, my CD player.

RIP Richard O'Sullivan. I was too young to catch him in his 70s heyday, but have very fond memories of his 80s sitcom Me and My Girl. Me & my dad loved watching another single dad raising a daughter, a family situation that is still vanishingly rare to see represented onscreen.

Ok, time for a thread about what I saw yesterday at #CrystalPalace. As you can see, just about everything has been repaired and re-painted, and in places (like the previously misidentified Xiphodon) re-positioned. It looks fantastic and you have to check it out, even if you've visited before...

Another entry in my occasional series "Little Guys in World Art". This charming chap getting his groove on is a whistle made by the pre-Columbian Moche culture of Peru. I love his little face so I drew him.

Dear Thames Water, You could probably have avoided this hosepipe ban by fixing your pipe that's been leaking thousands of litres of water into my block's front garden for an entire year. So much water that it remains a swamp following three heatwaves and the hottest June on record.

Watching Stan Wawrinka v Matteo Berrettini in Wimbledon R1. Two incredible tie breaks in a row & looking like it might go the distance. I was a huge Stan fan from 2015-2020, then lost interest in tennis for a few years, but what a delight it is to see him playing his final year on tour at 41. 👉😀

Top tip: iced coffee is very easy to make at home. Add 1 tbsp of instant coffee & 1 tsp of sugar (optional) to a pint glass Add just under an inch of boiling water, stir Add 3 ice cubes to make water room temperature When they've melted, add more ice cubes, top with milk, stir Drink!
