This aligns exactly with what we know about noncitizen voting; it is extremely rare (9 noncitizen votes in MN out of 3,253,920 in the 2024 election, or 0.0002%), and when it occurs it’s most often green card holders who were mistakenly told they could vote (none of these people are undocumented).

The best part was sharing this with someone who met me with contempt and said, “that’s what you’re proud of today? That you caught a typo?” It’s wild how people who claim to love you feel it’s okay to put you down. Anyway, we all deserve better, and it’s okay to say I don’t need this in my life.

This one time I felt incredibly proud of myself that I was the only one in a long line of reviewers who caught a similar misspelling of United States. My thinking was that I didn’t want the public to go, “they can’t even do that?” And it’s an easy error because the spellcheck won’t catch it.
