The C# type-system exists solely to cause me pain.
A variety of boxed and unboxed forms of a small type that I've managed to somehow coerce through the C# type system's lack of dependent types and other fuckery.

You Should Consider Making a Burger EX on Steam
HOW HIGH WILL YOU STACK IT? Drop ingredients as high as you can, get powerups, unlock new burgers, that's really all there is to it.

I’d missed that there’s a new The Burning Hell album out, with Carsie Blanton. The bar has always been high, but “Along with Tilda Swinton and some inmates from San Quentin” might be their best Leonine rhyme yet. theburninghell.bandcamp.com/track/hoist-...

So it’s a common mistake to think you should attack the ones in black first, the one in white hits harder and can take out 1/3 of your HP bar if you’re not careful. Get white guy first, then take out the goons in black, and hope beige shorts guy doesn’t spawn.

I used to get the same Northern Rail morning commute train as Burnham from Newton-le-Willows to Manchester and I can guarantee that he’s furious about northern train networks
theguardian.com
Back on track: can Burnham fix the north’s woeful rail services?
From a new high-speed line to better intercity links, the PM has a chance to tackle problems he criticised as Manchester mayor

Call me old-fashioned but I think emergency alerts should alert people to stuff they didn’t already know but urgently need to, rather than for the sender to look busy.

Really great that we all got to jump at once, as a nation, because the government line on the climate crisis was heavily criticised over the last few days.

The main reasons you dont know hardly any AAA craft-level game makers names is because the machines that make money from those people don’t want to give any visionaries on the team camera time in case they want to fire them to save money. And the smaller game makers hate doing press

Don’t let them be known for being good at designing, lighting, programming, writing in public. You might want to remove them next quarter and people will then associate you with not valuing the quality you just presented as good

I've bundled up the wallpaper group pattern generator I mentioned yesterday and added support for P1M1 through P4MM, as well as a couple of glide patterns. The package is here, you can clone the whole repository and add it as a Substance project, or drag the node in. github.com/brett-lemper...

The only upside to this for Havering is there's enough time before the next GE for Reform to fuck it up so badly that Andrew Rosindell finds himself out of a job.

Brett Lempereur @brettlempereur.bsky.social · 06/05/2026
Living in Havering it’s really quite hard to describe how little I’m looking forward to the elections tomorrow. (1) there’s a likelihood reform will take our council, so we’ll have to get ready for the clown car to roll into town, and (2) my best option for preventing that might be.. voting Tory.
