Made the trip to and from Tempe AZ to the Twin Cities (around 1650 miles) multiple times when I was in grad school at ASU. But my 'best' travel day was flying from Chicago to Philly, then picking up my daughter in college and making it back to Chicago in 18 hours, door to door. (850 miles driving)
