This #WritingPrompt is about monsters. They don't have to be giant to be scary. Maybe try giving an everyday item some monster qualities, eyes, teeth, a long tongue, a desire to eat flesh. See if you can make an object frightening. #WriterSky #WritingCommunity
Writing Prompt Wednesday
Make it a Monster
Find an object near you. Perhaps a
pen, a notebook, your computer, etc. Now
imagine that object as a living thing.
A monsterous living thing. Perhaps some
kind of mimic, or Eldritch terror.

Our mascot, Typey the typewriter in the corner beside a glittering wooden chest.

This week's #writingprompt is 🔥. Your poem or story (or whatever else you do) should center fire, flames, heat. Any size, any context. As always, feel free to share your work in the comments if you like. #WritingSky #WritingCommunity #QueerWriters
Writing Prompt Wednesday
That's Hot, written with a red outline font

Write a story, or poem that has
fire. Up to you how big the fire is
maybe it’s some candles, or a roaring
fire, or maybe your characters
explore the surface of the sun?

Don’t judge a book by its review count. I met a fellow indie crime author who exchanged books with me. He only had 1 review. Started reading & it’s damn good! Review count doesn’t = quality. Sometimes great books just haven’t been discovered yet. Give indie books a chance. #AuthorSky #BookSky

This #WritingPrompt is less of a prompt and more of an assignment, one I got many years ago in a writing class. After you have around 5 pages worth of quotes, and definitions of interesting words, go back and read some of them. Try to add 1 new thing a day. #writingcommunity #Typey
Writing Prompt Wednesday - Journal of Quotes
Get a notebook, a journal, or use your
notes app. Whenever you find a quote
from a book, or a poem, or an unnusual word
write it down. Keep this journal with you as you
fill it. You never know what can inspire you
later on.

This week's #writingprompt is a story within a story. Having a storyteller and people listening can provide you ways to move through the plot in unusual ways. Things to consider, who is the storyteller, who is the audience, and what kind of story are they telling? #WritingCommunity #QueerWriters
