i am slowly being required to use ai more for work, so i added a core instruction that it is not allowed to refer to itself as if it was human, can't use "I" as a pronoun, and has to call itself "the robot. it doesn't fix anything but it is slightly less creepy

back when i worked in a flight search engine, almost two decades ago, we regularly had problems showing correct prices for tickets it turns out that the architect had implemented "child price = adult * constant" and had the same constant across all flights and airlines but no one had noticed
