Facebook literally did the same thing to VR. Bought oculus at their height, bought all the VR game studies, canceled all the games, and then used the waning interest in VR (that they caused) as a justification for killing even more of it. The FCC should not be allowing any of this...

Anyone remember Goat Simulator? I feel like that was the thing that made it stand out; they literally put something like, “Full of bugs, and we aren't fixing them!" or something into the marketing materials. I think also Border Lands 1.5 or whatever had a similar, "ship it!" line in the trailer.

Love it. Gives forgiveness and allows you to move forward while still punishing you for not planning ahead... Also makes it possible to move the suit outside of the strict radius of the recharge rooms... Very cool. Can you carry an energy tank in your hands like that while wearing the suit? Lol

2/2 like... to avoid that feeling you get at the end of an RPG where you've hoarded all of these finite resources, only to beat the big bad and realize, yeah you could have used more of those health potions, and didn't have to be so stingy with the Phoenix Downs, etc...

Okay so it's kind of both energy and fuel. Makes sense. Is there a way to recharge it for free at like a fixed point home base? Like, that would still keep you tethered to that area of the map until you upgraded it, but would keep players from saving it until the very end.

It's crazy to me, that within ~24 hrs of the axios trojan being discovered, Claude Code's source is accidentally leaked, and axios is a major dependency, with a version range that matches the trojaned one. So yeahh... hopefully, no one at anthropic was setting up a new dev machine on March 30th...

Reads AS, "I don't care if my game is engaging or fun!" Even books follow the principle of "Show, don't tell". So, he's probably a bad writer too... I think Dragon Age was last game to do walls of text properly. They were optional, and revealed lore, and secrets. Made players excited to find them.
