Can’t eat a sandwich until you subscribe to sandwiches. Can’t eat today’s sandwich until it has applied daily sandwich updates. Sandwich now has adverts even though you paid for ad-free sandwich. Can pay again to have less sandwich adverts. Now you can eat the sandwich, but it’s smaller.

Today I found out that Discord Nitro doesn't does not provide server boosts to the user anymore. I have to pay for those at an additional monthly fee at $3.5 for 1 boost a month now. But hey they are providing me with Xbox Game Pass as an incentive for the standard tier... Like everyone else is.

My favorite (read: the worst) example of this is when it's a "secret history" or "forgotten history" but really it's common knowledge to everyone in an entire field, but it's "secret"/"forgotten" because the source material is in another language or it's just medieval/ancient.

Favorite systems have got to be #Mothership and #CallofCthulhu. But that said the World of Darkness line, especially #vampirethemasquerade, is probably my biggest thematically. The idea that you are the monster and trying to rectify that while cling to your humanity is brilliant.

I liked the concept but didn’t like the game, then I saw the price tag for the collected rules and bounced. But it also only adds credit to a video I saw recently about the financial disparity within the TTRPG market that if you want to make money off something, you write for 5e D&D.

So let me say it as clearly as I can: Without basic scientific research, supported by the kind of farsighted public investment that allows large-scale, undirected, curiosity-driven inquiry, the scientific pipeline will run dry.
In daily life, people may not feel the effects right away, or even in 10 years. But we will feel it. And when someone we love needs therapies that could have emerged but didn't or when other countries now
investing in science can launch new science-based industries or run their societies on vast resources of fusion energy or reap the benefits of quantum computing power or advanced medical breakthroughs, America will wish it sustained its leadership in scientific research here and now.

The bases don’t have anything to them yet. What you might be seeing is the grey run off on the Ghost Bears. I heavily thinned Army Painter’s speed paint down with medium and then lathered it over everything save the cockpits. Eventually I’ll be using AK’s or Vallejo’s basing materials though.

Honestly it’s just two levels of primer. I did it at night so it might have been a bit heavy compared to most primer coats but: Colorforge Ghoul Grey all over. Colorforge Matte White from a 60-70° angle and above. Figured it was a recognizable Comstar White.

If they had fun then I’d call that a win. A piece of advice I heard for horror games was that it’s really hard at the table to display horror but tension is much easier. So you might have more people make it out but how challenging was that survive/save side of things?

This was such a touchstone of my childhood. I rented the first one and went into a Game Stop to buy it after the rental period was over. The second one had just come out and I was asked if I wanted it instead. It became one of those games I was always playing for the next few years.
