Clock is ticking with NHL opening night roster submissions due in about twenty minutes. Lots of talk about the Toronto Maple Leafs trading Matthew Knies beforehand. Thankfully, this sort of situation has never gone awry for anyone involved before

I have very few followers on here and who knows how many are active, but a lot of people who followed me probably did based on my hockey output in the early 2010s. For the last 13 years I have been employed by teams, this is the first season start since 2013 where I’m not.

I wonder how many other fans attended their first Knicks playoff game of the year last night that are being let off the hook publicly right now but privately know they are the cursed one.

Getzlaf Waggle Triple Berry Cereal (2013-2013): Sweetened multi-grain flakes with pieces of dried strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry. Released in Canada to honor slotback Chris Getzlaf, of the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders
A green and white box with swirl and explosion lines, and a picture of a man with short brown hair in a green jersey. To the left is a picture of a football player in a green jersey with a white "89" on it. At the bottom is a metal spoon with flakes and berries, above a diagrammed football play and "Waggle"

As October baseball fades into the rearview, Canada’s sporting focus shifts to our November passion: the CFL playoffs! The Blue Bombers go to Montreal to face the Alouettes, followed by the Stampeders taking on the Lions in Vancouver. Canada’s favourites Saskatchewan and Hamilton await the winners!

Bike lane path map of South Etobicoke, we got this map from our local library. Circled is what caused the provincial government to put in leg to tear up municipal bike lanes across the province. As you can see, many alternatives for cyclists in that area!
City map of the fairly small amount of bike lanes/shared pedestrian paths in South Etobicoke, a vast area in the west end of Toronto. One single bike lane on Bloor Street is circled, the only east-west lanes for miles, as the provincial government blamed it for increased traffic into downtown Toronto and passed legislation to remove it.

This seems to be implying that the users of Windows tend to have the ability to fly.
Screenshot from Windows startup screen tells us today is World Penguin Day, and implores us to “celebrate the funny ways of our flightless friends”. You can then click on the prompt from the login startup screen to learn more about penguins. Also has a photo of two penguins making out.

I think concerts is one of the most obvious purchases we see richer consumers price out more modest earners. The prices have gone way up and it seems sales haven’t gone down, which suggests either we’ll pay anything for a show or that the same people are going to everything.

Hot take, but assuming I still had voting rights and was also forcibly prevented from fleeing and was otherwise compelled to comply with whatever horrific situation I was now forced to live in, I would not vote for the Democrats, but some makeshift Canadian separatist party. Always and forever.

Watching NBC Nightly News, Kids Edition. They report on the wildfires, but also explain how wildfires start generally. Then they go to the winter storms, and talk about flus spreading in that weather. And then gives tips on avoiding sickness, and what to do if you get sick. Adult news needs this.

Say what you will about the bait language…. Where are the non-AI new users to Facebook or Instagram supposed to come from? About the only way to grow is to bring back users who gave up previously, is it not?

Having autoplay as the default for videos is a REALLY bad move. You can disable autoplay for videos — it’s in the “Accessibility Settings.” (While you’re there you can also enable “require alt text before posting” if you haven’t yet)

A bit surprised the PWHL went with unlimited 5v5 OT for the playoffs. If I could start over with a new league I’d probably pull a skater at the end of every period, go 4v4 in 2OT, then 3v3 in 3OT.
