Love this. You're so right. I knew this; we had a conversation about the lectern graphics. Not sure why that became podium in a hurry, although in fairness we are also on a raised platform. (Hmm, language evolves, and if enough people are calling lecturns podiums...?)

During my freelance days, I took out audit insurance for sure. It felt like an extravagance, but then I was actually audited, and I was super grateful I had it (still a pain in the neck, though)

I sense accountants are very capable of messing things up on their own without AI, mind you. Mine once sent me documents with a big error in them, fully caused by human inattentiveness. And I fell out with HMRC once over a botched tax record - turns out a clerk had simply filled in the date wrong.

Yes. Hugh Jackman is in The Death Of Robin Hood this year. In my mind, that makes it even more bizarre that The Uprising would tug on that thread. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dea...

I’m excited to see Paul Greengrass's film The Uprising. I believe it to be about Wat Tyler and the historically significant 1381 Peasants’ Revolt. The film’s international marketing team has bizarrely and anachronistically renamed it The Rise of Robin Hood🤦‍♂️ www.theguardian.com/film/2026/au...

Marketing meltdown: why has Andrew Garfield’s new film suddenly added Robin Hood?

Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler at an owl sanctuary and he told me that the wild owls who lived near the sanctuary worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.
