James went to a church event tonight where the puddings on offer were "apple crumble, apple sponge or apple cake".

I am sure Pure Cremation has people who really want to go for the packages but I find the tone of the ads a bit odd.

Trying to work out if I need a new driving instructor. Mine is out of the country for a month so I have a while to decide. I feel he did drag it out a while - yes I took longer than most people because of nerves, but...

The first poster featuring the Michelin Man, aka Bibendum, designed by O'Galop in 1898. The slogan "Nunc est bibendum" means "Now is the time to drink." Bibendum toasts with a goblet of nails and broken glass while rival tires slump beside him, because the Michelin tire "drinks up the obstacle."

Hit the kerb really hard five minutes before the end of my driving test which I was otherwise on course to pass. Pity's sake.

James's mum was telling me that in the late 90s she borrowed what she thought was a Thomas the Tank Engine VHS from the library but someone had accidentally put a home tape recording of a TV documentary about the MOORS MURDERS inside which she only discovered when she pressed play.

Bought an hour's worth of insurance, stuck the L plates on and drove James's inexplicably massive car the sub-ten minutes trip from his house to his parents' while he freaked out lightly throughout

Love those videos of people taking secret lessons in their partner's family's language and doing a speech at the wedding. Unfortunately I think if I get married I will not be doing one in Neapolitan.

Decided uptick in stuff I am seeing about people who didn't have any of the classic symptoms of a horrible disease but instead had nebulous symptoms at absolute best paired with a gut instinct they had the horrible disease, and they were right.

Fills me with confidence when a railway operator emails to tell me it can't yet process my delay repay claim submitted a month ago because of the huge volume of claims. I would simply not let my trains be so late.

Pen, watercolor, black & white charcoal pencil.

Another featured piece from the Spooky Pants book.

A man in a sweater stands with his hands on his hips looking out of a large window with the curtains open. Things aren’t looking good outside, reader. A massive winged demon is emerging from the clouds as dozens of little ghosts and bone demons rip through the sky. On the ground below we see townsfolk running through the grass. Our man in the window is in no mood for this. He lets us know, “Oh, I am in no mood for this.” His dog looks out the window as well, wagging its tail.

Fantasia (1940) inspired drawing. I think I could’ve gone a little heavier with the chaos outside but we’ll try again with fresh drawings this October. I like how the clouds turned out. Trying to balance my sloppy lines with more detail can be tricky but I think we achieved a good result.

I am home after several hours of reasonably intense dancing and socialising and while I feel pleasantly tired and achy I'm oddly angry that till last year this would have been very difficult

My main French language input atm is listening to Affaires Sensibles while I work, so I expect next time I go to France I will speak with the intonation of Fabrice Drouelle.

Now, just personally, I would have considered the crocodiles
The assessment did not consider the crocodiles but instead looked at "how the course would perform under a range of conditions, weather patterns, water levels and flood risk at both Games time and throughout the period leading into the Games".
