she's still tiny, but this little sausage went from a bit over 3kg before we got her and she was pregnant, to a nice round 5kg she's grown, but only in diameter

i love olight flashlights these clip ones are fantastic, and charge over usb-c instead of their proprietary one battery life is good, they get super bright and also have a moonlight mode, and they're solid metal

two small rectangular flashlights. the red one on the left has its red light on, while the orange one on the right has its spotlight on and its head is tilted slightly up

an orange oclip 2 ultra lying mostly flat on the keyboard tray with its head tilted as far up as it'll go. its UV light is on, and its magnetic clip is rotated 90 degrees

it's too bad that the widescreen ratio that got big was 16:9 16:10 does a lot to help with the lack of vertical real estate without going straight to 4:3 i grew up with 4:3 tv and monitors, these days they're fun as a bit but i have zero desire for it to come back big time

telescope laptop got water in it when it rained a couple of days ago (had a cover on, but it didn't do its job well) she's dead, jimothy

a 1tb m.2 ssd with water pooled around a cluster of SMDs, and what appears to be wet corrosion gunk spread within the puddle. there are also other areas with water on them. she's toast

i like it when the streaks aren't starlinks

advice for anyone starting astrophotography with a non-smart telescope: put anti-seize compound on every thread in the image train you will save yourself a lot of sanity when you have to change anything out

spent a good chunk of the day messing with the image trains of both telescopes, and touched up collimation on the celestron installing the filter wheel was surprisingly fiddly, but i should have expected that lol
