You might ask “where is the British Mamdani” and the brutal truth is that the US press - as bad as it is - gives left wing politicians time and space to talk about their ideas. A British Mamdani gets swiftly kicked to death on camera in an avalanche of all-channels screaming hate.

I mean, setting up an ethnic enclave in the Middle East in the 1940s by expelling the residents and occupying their land seems like a pretty wacky idea to me but my view on it is: what’s done is done. Why would I need to answer questions on that now, when the question is “Do we like this genocide?”.

Obviously these are horrific crimes by monstrous, murderous fascists, so we should ignore them and do and say nothing about them, out of self-interest.
Ed Miliband's 'personal agenda' hurting the UK says Tom Tugendhat in blast at 'virtue-signalling' Israel sanctions, handshake with top Iranian and green fixation'The British people need you to stand up for the interests of freedom and peace around the world, and that does mean things like sanctioning Ben-Gvir and Smotrich. Those two cabinet ministers have been barbaric, frankly, in the way that they've called for violence in not just the West Bank, but also in Gaza.
'But it also means making sure that when the Israelis are going through an electoral process, you don't interrupt, you don't put your hand on the scales, and help those who are encouraging those settlements.
'But it also means remembering that when you're making a statement, when you're making noise, when you're actually trying to change things, your fundamental job is what's good for Britain.
'Now, yes, of course, that means respecting human rights, and the abuse of the Palestinian communities very far from the West Bank has been horrific. There's no question about that. We need to do it in a way that actually gets a result, because otherwise, all you're doing is virtue signalling at the cost of Britain.'

Tragicomic that there are thousands of people in the Greens who spent 2015-19 in Labour. They've had ~7yrs to think about what went wrong, about strategy, tactics, messaging, political priorities & constructing/ maintaining different voter coalitions.
And the conclusion they've drawn is: "This time let's do MORE very public, divisive, pointless and esoteric arguments about Zionism & Jews & anti-Semitism that have O impact on anything happening in the Middle East Ce"

Tony Blair on Gaza:
There is talk of free Palestine, but for Palestinians living in Gaza, they don't need a slogan; they need a solution.
To be free, Gaza must live in peace with its neighbors and with itself.

The head of Britain's elections watchdog goes public to say he's looking at slashing spending limits, potentially blunting the impact of Reform's mega donations.
Vijay Rangarajan, chief executive of the Electoral Commission, says in a lengthy statement to Sunday Times it is essential the rules are "fit for purpose" and public trust in election financing is maintained.
Currently political parties can spend £34mn in the year run-up to a general election. If the cap is cut or that year window is extended it could have a massive impact on campaign spending.
Rangarajan picks out both as areas he is assessing, which is notable.
Given Reform has pulled far ahead of rivals with its new £72mn donation from two crypto billionaires the party could be most impacted
