the problem is that I have one wild and precious life and I want to write every book, read every book, play every video game, kiss every cat, take every nap, visit every country, but I am very broke and very sleepy 😔

I need a book that has the same tension between characters as it did in Raya and the last dragon. Any recommendations? #booksky 📚💜

There is absolutely no reason to bully an author and still say you want to keep things positive. That's just toxic behavior. Especially if you are new to fandom.

The one of many problems of being a mood reader is that even though we know what we want to read, we have at least 10 we want to read at that very second. And it doesn't always plan out to read what is next. I think I've had that happen most often this year alone. 📚💙📚📚

Can someone just give me a copy of silver elite to waste my time on to read and review? I just keep seeing all these videos and reviews, and now I am very curious. I hate being curious like this. I can't get a copy anywhere 💙📚📚💙

If the USA loses copyright law... what do authors do? What is publishing going to do? If anyone can take our work and re-publish it as their own then publishing in the USA makes no sense. I need to earn money from my work so I can pay the bills. Are we shopping our books in the UK instead?

If we could not bring the "hey, author, I'm in your mentions, saying how I don't like your book" to Bluesky, that would be super great.

💙📚 #booksky what are some books you could not put down when you read them? Books that at LEAST took you 1 to 2 days to finish?

I feel a lot of readers have way too high expectations when it comes to a highly anticipated book (trust me, I'm there). However, I've learned that if I'm not enjoying it RIGHT NOW, it's not the book for now. I put it down and start another. Then in time I go back. There's no DNFing needed.

I'm slowly getting a TBR together for the summer (yes early). So far it's a lot of YA thriller mysteries. Ngl, I'm loving it. 💙📚

Does anyone else hate it when you're really, really enjoying a book, and you slowly fall into a slump? I don't want to be in a book slump in the middle of something I want to read so bad 😫 📚💙

Reading Sherlock Holmes and there are so many scenes where Holmes is just at the foot of Watson’s bed, wide awake at a questionable hour like, “Hello, my dear Watson! I have studied bicycles all night!” What a little cryptid. #CurrentlyReading #BookSky #SherlockHolmes #ArthurConanDoyle #Books

Fun fact, JK—who is English—single-handedly funded the Scotland remain movement during the referendum, and called separatists “bigots”. She’s the reason there’s no independent Scotland. She throws her money and clout around like she’s fucking Nigel Farage. She’s a billionaire corrupting politics.

Official tech corp position is that books are so high value that it would be impossible to train quality LLMs without them AND books have zero value and thus it is ridiculous to expect global tech corps to pay any money for them. www.vanityfair.com/news/story/m...

I always carry a book with me everywhere. But last week was really not my week. Now, when I have a hard cover, I don't leave the dust jacket on it. I take it off. So, unfortunately, my book sat on something sticky. And was dribbled on by my leaky lunch box. Sunrise On The Reaping I'm sorry 😭😭😭

I rarely get lucky at a thrift book store, but I definitely considered myself lucky yesterday. 2 books that I have been eyeing for a while online (I've been avoiding having to shop online) have hit the store. You bet I grabbed them while I did!

Nothing worse than feeling like you've been scammed when selling books you don't want anymore. Lesson learned - don't resell popular books/series that people enjoy.

Do you have a certain way you like to organize your shelves? I've been thinking of a new way of organizing, and I've thought about alphabetical. Might be kicking myself later since I normally only have vibes. However.. I need something to do while wallowing.

I know it might be hard but it’s important to pay attention to what is happening. Don’t look away or retreat into yourself. Invest in your community.Think about what you can do & who you can love & support in your community & go do it.And commit to doing it forever, not just for the next four years

Imagine watching disaster movies like The Day After Tomorrow or 2012 and thinking that the apocalyptic weather scenes were the “unrealistic” part. Turns out those scenes were almost bang on. The unrealistic part was the humans working together to overcome the problem & save the world. Sigh.

I started my 2025 reading with some Manga. I think it was a good way to get my year started as, well, my mind from work is still all over the place since the holidays. A lot that's been pushed off in my head is pushing back. Next to read is vol. 2 and hopefully jumping back into Lord of the Rings
