This probably says way too much about me but one my biggest hurdles of the past year has been adjusting to wearing pants that aren’t high waisted.

I finished reading this forever ago and I’m still thinking about it. Fantastic book. Maybe my first five star read of the year??

The list of things I need to get done is stressing me out so much that I haven’t started working on anything which is also stressing me out.

This is a thread to track my weekend reads ❤️ Started with finishing up Haven by Rebekah Weatherspoon! Excited to read more by her! He saves her from a 🥣🔪 & the two of them are drawn together as they deal with their grief & trauma from the experience. Thrilling, emotional, sexy 🥵 & sweet.

Got super early access to one of my most anticipated reads of the year & I don’t remember the last time I’ve been so disappointed in a book 😭 I’m just going to pretend I didn’t read it & pray it doesn’t put me in a reading slump.

I’m trying to book an experience with a photographer in Edinburgh so I asked them to send me pictures they’ve taken of black people & interracial couples & they sent me back a bunch of photos of white people & told me to trust them 😐

Finally finished the Arc of the Scythe trilogy & while I was disappointed with the third book I loved the series overall! Definitely a must read for folks who love sci-fi dystopian stories and/or anyone who finds themselves frighten & fascinated by AI.

I know it might be hard but it’s important to pay attention to what is happening. Don’t look away or retreat into yourself. Invest in your community.Think about what you can do & who you can love & support in your community & go do it.And commit to doing it forever, not just for the next four years

Pretty sure the only book that would excite me enough to stay up for a midnight release party on a Monday night would be Alecto the Ninth

8hrs into my 24hr readathon! I finished three books yesterday but forgot to record updates between books so..the video will be pretty silly but oh well. Here’s what I’ve finished so far: -The Brothers Cabal by Jonathan L Howard -Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab -Deep End by Ali Hazelwood

I love a duology but often I struggle with feeling like they’re condensing what should be three books or expanding what should be one book. But when it’s done right it’s 🤌🏾 Some of my favorites are: •Monsters of Verity • The Shepard King •Wilderwood (these are the only ones I can think of rn)

Finished Black Tide Son by HM Long & I loved it even more than Dark Water Daughter. I also woke up feeling mostly better after being sick for the past month. I’m attributing it to the power of a good book.

“I have too many books” -judgemental -boring -implies impulse-control issues “The books... they have me.” - mysterious - occult - implies you are at the mercy of a library of books that have gained sentience and are holding you hostage #readingcommunity

Right now my only bookish goal for 2025 is to run the length of a Brandon Sanderson audiobook (specifically something in the Stormlight Archive series) but I’m realizing I did my math wrong & I’ll either need to run a 100 mile race or two 50 mile races 🫠
