I had only one frame in this lovely project, so I decided to make it larger than life - or at least as large as the blue whale in the background. 🐋 So here are Ed and Merstede, wearing a shirt but with his tail sticking up behind him. And I gave him crystal tears! #ofmd #ofmdfanart #LaVieEnFrames

My drawing for the Renew as a Crew project. Stede is hanging very awkwardly from a rope ladder over the water, painting Renew as a Crew in elegant white letters on the side of the Revenge. Ed is beside him, hanging precariously out of a cannon window while painting his own slogan - Release the Kraken - in drippy black paint. Above on the deck there are many crew members. Izzy is standing right above Ed, shouting angrily and having a coniption because Ed is helping 'the twat', risking his life by hanging out the window, and for basically not behaving like Blackbeard. Some of my WIPs and unfinished sketches. 1st: 'there he is' - the most emotional moment of the death scene. 2nd: Unfinished xmas card that I never got time to finish. 3rd: The Pina Colada kiss. 4th: Some character sketches of Ed and Stede. I don't know if or when any of these will be completed.

A piece inspired by Magritte's 'The Castle of the Pyrenees', using the half a petrified orange from Our Flag Means Death. The orange is topped with a drawing of the 'inn' Ed and Stede settle in at the end of season 2, and Izzy's grave marker can be seen a little further down the orange.

A close-up of a piece where the background is repeated cans of Crisco, a la Andy Warhol's screenprint series featuring Campbell's soup cans. This is a reference to a fic written by the artist, called Weirdo Hours. The foreground features a black and white drawing, where the inside of Edward Teach's arm, and both Ed and Stede's chins can be seen.
