"When does it start? 11.01.26 When does it end? 3.01.27" Sorry for being confused here, but do you mean "from 1. nov -26 to 3. jan -27"? Or has this been already going on since 11. jan -26?

I'm baffled and incredibly impressed at the differences in style and provess! Though the early style reminds me of why I was drawn to your drawings to begin with - those silk trousers and the long coat are incredible! How did you create those without a single stroke visible? Is airbrush part of it?

I had only one frame in this lovely project, so I decided to make it larger than life - or at least as large as the blue whale in the background. 🐋 So here are Ed and Merstede, wearing a shirt but with his tail sticking up behind him. And I gave him crystal tears! #ofmd #ofmdfanart #LaVieEnFrames

Stede is in mid motion slinging Ed around, grabbing his arms. They are under water, Stede is wearing his bluegreen shirt but he is actually Merstede in disguise, his tail sticking up behind him. The colours around them are in delicate lavender, cerulean, pink and purple tones, dappled sunlight is shining down on the huge blue whale swimming behind them. There are lots of bubbles, Ed's bubbles are pink hearts, and Merstede is tearing up with crystal tears.

I made a dickfuck pic! Unfortunately it's not Tuesday anymore, but I hope I'm not too late - after all, the original dickfuck was exactly that - getting the wrong date! 😊 I can try to make an Izzy too if it's not too late... #OFMD #OFMDfanart #OFMDart #DickfuckDay

Harald was my king! He was a very good man, humble and wise, and did not keep distance to his people. When disasters happened, he was there, comforting people, giving hugs and even crying with them. He was dearly beloved by all Norwegians. 💖😭

Our RBB fic has now started posting! Author is @toadpuppy.bsky.social , and art is by me. The second chapter will be posted tonight. archiveofourown.org/works/896026...

A title card saying "Love Like Lightning" in a whimsy purple font, and below it says "Text by Toadpuppy, Art by Bobla Blubb" in a smaller purple font. Background is dark blue sky, lightning bolts flaring on each side of the text, and a whispy white cloud of stars and hearts is below. Above the text is a heart-shaped constellation.

Wow! I had no idea these quilling strips were so incredibly small! How do you make the paper stand up on edge like that? Do you need special paper with glue on it?

We don't usually see each other's headers. Quote post with yours <3 My header is Blackbeard and his 🍑 from my drawing for the Renew as a Crew project. All the details are described in the ALT text. #ofmd #ofmdfanart

My drawing for the Renew as a Crew project. Stede is hanging very awkwardly from a rope ladder over the water, painting Renew as a Crew in elegant white letters on the side of the Revenge. Ed is beside him, hanging precariously out of a cannon window while painting his own slogan - Release the Kraken - in drippy black paint. Above on the deck there are many crew members. Izzy is standing right above Ed, shouting angrily and having a coniption because Ed is helping 'the twat', risking his life by hanging out the window, and for basically not behaving like Blackbeard. To the left of Izzy are Olu and Jim - Jim is giving Izzy the glare of death and holding their dagger ready to throw at him. Olu looks worried at Jim's dagger, knowing they might throw it. On Izzy's right side are Lucius and Roach, both staring angrily at Izzy and all his yelling. Above Stede are Swede and Buttons, both struggling to hold the rope with the ladder steady to avoid the captain falling off. Carl is flying next to Stede, giving directions up to Buttons.

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I have grabbed 37 now - but i don't dare start on it until i know that its not already being done by someone else again. It felt kinda discouraging being almost done with 20 when i heard someone else already had it. But maybe I can still send 20 to you in case you start a round 3 :D

010

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

So I can take 37 instead? That's the only free one? I had already started painting 20 and was almost done when i heard it was taken, so i kinda lost the drive for a few moments. But I'll take 37 if thats still free. Or maybe you will need to make a third round? :D BTW, When is the deadline?

110

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

I have grabbed frames 20 and 27. Please let me know if any of these are already taken for the second round. 💖🐋

210

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

Thanks for the link! Maybe you will get enough applicants to create two different rounds of animations :) Are you keeping track of the taken frames in round 2, or risk getting many versions of the same frame? I would like 2 frames to start with, if thats ok. Do we also paint backgrounds?

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

Do you have any frames left now?

It's Valentine's day - let us post all their kissy scenes! 💖💋 #OFMD #OFMDFanart #OFMDArt

Drawing of Ed and Stede's first kiss, on the beach by the privateer academy.

Painting of Ed and Stede's reunion kiss on the beach in the last episode. They are dancing and kissing, dressed as the caketoppers with seagull Buttons and crab Izzy are throwing roses at them. The Revenge in the background is sending up fireworks.

Painting of Ed and Stede's reunion kisses at the beach, the closeup of the 'I love you, I LOVE you - I know, I know that'-scene. Background is purplish pink and filled with stars.

Drawing of Ed and Stede kissing on the deck of the Revenge. Stede in his cursed shirt, Ed in his sack cloth onesie. The fish is also present, but out of sight. Background is dark greenblue with many stars.

I hope it has calmed down now. I know people can feel very strongly about their favourites in fandoms, but there is a fine line between enjoying their headcanons with mutuals, and to attack people who don't share their views. Fanartists share their creations for free. Don't like it? Don't look.

110

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

What made me stop drawing it was actually angry reactions from a group of people who wanted to pretend Izzy didn't die, and lashed out at people who dared to mention it. A few artists did try to draw it at first, but after being bullied and harassed by that group, we decided it wasn't worth it. ☹️

110

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

Absolutely! And sadly very under-represented in fanart. I had hoped for many individual interpretations of that scene, but somehow people have been avoiding to draw it. I feel it needs to be remembered - if I can somehow get time to finish this drawing. 💔❤️‍🩹💖

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

Aww yeah, that moment - and the entire scene between them - was so beautiful and poignant and emotional! 💔 I loved that scene, it had so many mirrored parallels to earlier scenes between them, and Izzy spent his last moments undoing old damage and hurts - comforting Ed: 'just be Ed... there he is'.

120

Bobla Blubb @boblablubb.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

Some of my WIPs and unfinished sketches. 1st: 'there he is' - the most emotional moment of the death scene. 2nd: Unfinished xmas card that I never got time to finish. 3rd: The Pina Colada kiss. 4th: Some character sketches of Ed and Stede. I don't know if or when any of these will be completed.

WIP of Izzy's death scene. Izzy lies on his back on the deck of the Revenge, Ed bends down over him, cradling his head and crying. Izzy smiles up at Ed and strokes his chin, saying 'there he is'. Unfinished pencil sketch with some patches of colours.

Very unfinished WIP of xmas card - sketch of chibi Stede and Ed dressed as santas, leaning on each other and sleeping.

Old WIP from the pina colada days. The Kiss between Ed and Stede, very sketchy and unfinished, some coloured patches.

Some old WIPs, pencil sketches of Ed's and Stede's faces.
