Adversarial interop and open source can emerge during the early stages of disruption for this reason. You don’t have time to lock down and extract every little thing when there’s a huge greenfield in front of you. Moving fast has higher upside, even if you cede vast tracts of territory.

Cal.com went closed source and forked off Cal.diy as MIT. So… I could just create my own OIDC plugin for it and connect it up to atmosphere accounts? Calendaring is definitely the final boss.
