I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

The most fun I've had in a while was working through this album of medieval manuscript facsimiles begun by St John Hornby, and then taken over by J.R. Abbey. In it they pasted in facsimiles of manuscripts they had bought or desired, annotating them with their success and failures in acquiring them.

This is such a delicate balance. A good writers room has a staff similar enough to embrace the same vision of the show… but different enough that you have people who will pitch things that no one else would, including the showrunner. The goal shouldn’t be 9 people who think and write like the SR

I probably could have phrased it differently ("all of those" or something) but my focus wasn't on the timeline of it, but rather the question if fanfics and their adaptations that drew inspiration from TLJ are included as being part of the discussion OF TLJ.

I'm sure (I don't have a definitive timeline) but TLJ was when they were like hardwired together. More intense, more personal. The shirtless bit probably helped seal the deal, I'm sure.
